Firm Profile

Although the name Nisbett Fleming has only been around for a short time, the directors and staff have been in the accounting field for many years.  Nisbett Fleming was an amalgamation of Taylor Nisbett and Blanchett Fleming (of Motueka) in October 2007 and brought together the resources of both firms to provide a better level of service and expertise for our clients.  We continue to evolve and modify our structure and work practices so that we can better meet our clients needs.

Sue Nisbett – Director
Sue came to Motueka in 1992 after a number of years in Hokitika working in a Chartered Accountants practice and ever since then has travelled monthly to the coast visiting clients.  This however doesn’t make Sue a West Coaster, as she only lived there for 12 years after being born in Hawkes Bay and attending University in Wellington.  As well as clients on the West Coast, Sue also has clients to visit all over the top of the South Island, and finds seeing clients outside the office beneficial to both client and accountant.

Outside work, Sue is keen on her garden, spends time transporting the daughter to her school and sporting pursuits and likes to find time to ride her BMW 650GS motorbike.

Tony Fleming – Director
Tony came to Nelson in 2000 after 16 years in a practice in the North Island.  After three years of owning and running a motel in Nelson he purchased an accountancy practice in Motueka. 
In 2007 he joined forces with Sue Nisbett and Peter Taylor (now retired) and formed Nisbett Fleming.
Being born and bred in the South Island on a farm, and spending time in the North Island in a small rural town, he has a special interest in farm accounting.
Having spent all his working life (apart from 3 years in the Motel industry) in chartered accountancy he has a wealth of knowledge, is very approachable and prides himself in being able to relate to everyday business people.

Outside of work he plays golf, skis, enjoys the outdoors and tramping and is a passionate rugby fan.
